Kim Clark opened Initially Twisted on Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome in August 2010 and business is booming.

The boutique store offers the latest style in handbags, luggage and wallets and all of it can be monogrammed.

“So far business has been really good,” said Clark.

Clark uses a special monogramming machine to put everything from initials to business names on the items she sells.

“It’s the idea of being able to personalize anything,” she said.

And they can personalize anything. Clark has put monograms on bathrobes and shower curtains and created custom decals for the back of vehicles.

“Rugs to clothing, we’ll do it,” she said.

In the past few months, she has monogrammed dog beds and kids clothes and everything in between.

“At Christmas we were here all night monogramming gifts people ordered,” she said.

The store, located next to Subway on Turner McCall, has become known for their good, quick customer service.

“We get what customers want,” she said.

Clark also allows people to bring in their own items to be monogrammed.

“We have a lot of repeat customers. I think it is because we take time for them,” she said.

The store also has a special machine for custom T-shirts, meaning anything a customer wants can be put on the shirt.

“We love to shop,” said sales associate Leslie Sullins. “We love a good deal and that’s what we have here.”

Clark owns the store with her husband, Robbie Clark.

They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
