Cartridge World

Eric Labbe always wanted to own his own business and as a member of Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful the environment is very important to him. So Labbe decided to merge the two.

In April 2010 Labbe opened a Cartridge World franchise in Rome. The store is located at 315 Riverside Parkway in Suite 160. Labbe says Cartridge World stores around the country con-tribute to keeping millions of ink cartridges out of landfills. “It can take 500 years for one to decompose,” he said.

The business model is pretty simple, a customer can bring in an old, empty ink or toner cartridge and for a fraction of the price they would pay at a big box retailer they receive a refilled cartridge.

“It’s a green business,” he said.

The store serves both private customers and businesses. It is the business-to-business model that is Labbe’s passion.

“When a problem comes up we want to be the first in line to take care of our customers,” he said. “Without customers we would be nowhere. We treat them as family and friends.”

Labbe said the company’s purpose is to provide great cus-tomer service and offers 85 percent the cartridges on the market. The store also offers fee delivery on $40 purchases.

But their work doesn’t just stop with customers; Labbe also works as a chamber of commerce ambassador. “It’s really important, essential, to welcome new busi-nesses to Rome,” he said.

The store is open six days a week, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. They can be reached by calling 706-234-9465.
