Driving distance/directions from downtown Highlands, NC: 2.7 miles. Follow Hwy. 64 (Franklin Road). Waterfall is on the right.
Description: An alternate road curves under this waterfall allowing drivers to pass underneath. A large gravel parking area is adjacent.
Footnote: The road under the waterfall was closed for several years after a boulder fell and blocked it. It was blasted away, and the road was reopened in 2007.
