This sale shall be held at the following location as designated by the Clerk of Superior Court: Front steps of the Macon County Courthouse, 5 West Main Street, Franklin, N.C on the 22nd day of May. 2018 at 12:00p.m. This property is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS and said sale shall be SUBJECT TO all superior liens, mortgages, easements, encumbrances, unpaid taxes and special assessments which were or became effective on the record prior to the lien of the judgement under which the sale is being held.
The judgement debtor HAS claimed his/her exemptions in this real property used as a residence or is not entitled to claim such exemptions. If the debtor has claimed, and is entitled to, the exemption, he/she is entitled to receive $35,000 ($60,00 for some debtors) in value from the proceeds of the sale of the property. Sales for an amount less than the exemption claimed shall not be final if subject to such exemptions. The sale shall be held open for (10) days for the filing of upset bids as required by law. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town of Highlands Board of Commissioners at the Highlands Community Building, 71 Poplar Street, at the regular scheduled Board of Commissioners Meeting on the 24th day of May, 2018, beginning at 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of receiving public comment on proposed amendments to the Code of Ordinances and the Unified Development Ordinance.

1. Code of Ordinances: Removing Chapter 11 Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control, Article II: Draining of Impoundment Regulations Unified Development Ordinance: Amending Article 4.
