Fireworks Extravaganza set for July 3 on The Green
Celebrate America’s birthday in Cashiers at The Village Green’s annual Fireworks Extravaganza on The Green. The celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3 on The Village Green Commons Lawn. Residents and visitors are invited to dine, play, and dance the night away.
The spectacular evening entertainment will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with headlining band, The Caribbean Cowboys! The band has entertained audiences for more than 30 years and plays all the classics from a wide variety of artists that will make you want to sing and get out of your chairs for Cashiers’ largest dance party. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. No personal tents are allowed at this event.
Local food and beverages will be available for purchase from Elevated Kitchen Food Truck, beer from Innovation Brewing, and sweet treats from Crossroads Custard. Personal picnics and beverages are also welcome. Because of the nature and size of this event, dogs will not be allowed. Grab your spots on The Common’s Lawn starting at 5 p.m.
The main event of the evening will be the breathtaking fireworks display that will begin shortly after dark. Thousands of colorful bursts will light up the night sky and the show will be accompanied by a patriotic soundtrack that pays tribute to America.
Admission is free, however, donations to The Village Green will be collected to help offset the cost of the event. The Village Green receives zero funding from Jackson County, the state of North Carolina or the Federal Park System and relies solely on the generosity of private contributions to continue bringing this cherished event for free to the community.
