“If we choose to normalize incivility in our lives, it will bleed over into our practice and the client will pay the immediate price,” Fierberg said. “This book seeks to highlight what mentors and mentees should be focusing on during the early years of practice and also serves as a refresher for mid-career lawyers.”

According to information provided by Archway Publishing , Fierberg’s book emphasizes the skillful art of mindful mentorship and the tremendous effect it carries on impressionable young lawyers. Emphasizing the importance of ethics in a profession that faces many moral obstacles, the lessons to be taken away from this book are essential teachings for all who are entering the workforce. Clarifying the essential qualities that make up an exceptional lawyer, readers will develop the tools to prepare themselves for a successful career in the law profession.

With a focus on the role bias, hubris, reputation, ego and truth play in the practice of law, “Mentoring Lawyers” effectively showcases the true value of civility and highlights its importance in the professional world and beyond.
