It was a gorgeous Saturday morning on Oct. 4 for the 2025 Cashiers Blessing of the Animals with CHHS shelter pets as well as those who already have forever homes receiving their blessing in the spirit of Saint Francis. Clergy from Church of the Good Shepherd, Christ Anglican Church, Glenville Wesleyan Church, Cashiers United Methodist Church, Grace Community Church, gathered at the Cashiers Village Green to bless the animals. Donations given during the event support the shelter pets at the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society.
