The Bascom’s Fall Pottery Show returns Oct. 10-11
The annual pottery show features the work of The Bascom’s Studio members, local artists who create and fire their pieces on-site.
The Bascom: A Center for the Visual Arts invites the community to experience the 14th Annual Fall Pottery Show on Oct. 10–11, at the Dave Drake Barn. This highly anticipated, two-day event has become a signature highlight of The Bascom’s fall programming.
The show features the work of The Bascom’s Studio Members, local artists who create and fire their pieces on-site. Guests can expect to discover an exceptional range of ceramics, from functional items such as mugs, bowls, and serving pieces to striking conceptual works, each one unique and handcrafted.
More than a sales event, the Fall Pottery Show is an opportunity to meet the makers, learn about their processes, and directly support both the artists and The Bascom’s Creative Community Initiative, which expands access to inclusive, year-round arts programming throughout the region.
In addition to exploring and purchasing work, visitors can watch Studio Members at the wheel and at the table as they demonstrate. These sessions will feature the making of bowls for the Empty Bowls project along with wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at process that shapes each finished piece.
Whether shopping for the holidays, adding to a collection, or exploring clay for the first time, visitors will find the Fall Pottery Show an inspiring way to connect with our creative community.
