Highlands residents have re-elected Mayor Pat Taylor during the town’s 2025 elections. Joining him are returning board members Eric Pierson and Amy Patterson, while Jim Tate has been elected to fill the seat left by Brian Stiehler.
“I am thankful to the people of Highlands for re-electing me as their mayor,” said Mayor Taylor. “I appreciate everyone who took the time to vote in this important election.”
Taylor expressed eagerness and the importance of collaborating with the entire Highlands community. “I, as mayor, and the members of the town board are excited to work with and communicate with everyone in the community to help move Highlands forward.”
The re-election of Pierson and Patterson will be for new four-year terms. Jim Tate will serve the next two years in the remainder of the term vacated by Stiehler.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to serve my hometown,” said Tate. “I look forward to working alongside the current administration to ensure that Highlands continues to be one of the most special places in the world to call home. What an honor and a privilege it is!”
The unofficial election results show over 300 ballots cast in the 2025 municipal election. “I also want to share my appreciation for the poll workers at our Highlands precinct,” said Taylor. “These volunteers are so generous with their time and are such a critical part of the election process. Thank you.”
