The Village Green hosts Easter traditions
The Village Green hosts community events each year that enhance the lifestyle of the Cashiers area for residents and visitors. Easter weekend features events celebrating the hope, renewal and joy of the spring holiday.
The Village Green will host the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, for children 11 years old and younger. This annual tradition will take place on the Commons Lawn this year due to construction elsewhere on the property. Children will be divided into three areas of the park by age group.
In addition to the egg hunt, the Cashiers Literacy Council will distribute books to promote literacy among youth. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance. Families should bring their own baskets and cameras.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt is a free community event that provides an opportunity for families and friends to gather and create lasting memories. The event is sponsored by The Corner Store and Children’s Edit.
In addition to this event, Cashiers Area Churches will present Stations of the Cross at 4 p.m. Good Friday, April 3, and an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 5. Both events are free, open to the public and held outdoors at The Village Green Commons.
