Eleanor Grace Blankenship

Mrs. Eleanor Grace Blankenship, daughter of James Willard Keener and Grace Keener, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019.
She was born on September 19, 1938 in Highlands. She attended the public schools of Macon County and was a graduate of Southwest Community College.
She was married to Harold B. Blankenship. She had four sons; Robert (Susan) Crowe, Ronnie (Terri) Crowe, Kenneth (Patricia) Crowe and Brian (Dawn) Crowe. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Brittany Crowe, Heather (Paul) Dalton, Robert (Vicky) Crowe, Jr., Ann Marie (Burton) Zimbach, Grace Crowe, Natalie Dendy and Michelle (Travis) Pendergrass, six great grandchildren and family friends; Carlos and Sharnay Vazquez.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva, with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in Parris Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
