The Town of Highlands Scholarship Golf Tournament generated a total of $72,000 for the scholarship fund for students at Highlands School. The event is sponsored by the Bryson Family.
2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the scholarship fund, initially started in 1975. Since then, the Town of Highlands scholarship fund has benefitted Highlands School graduates by giving scholarships to those furthering their education at a university or trade school. All Highlands School graduates are eligible and will receive some form of support for the duration of their post-secondary education, provided they apply each year.
The event this year was held at Cullasaja Club, where the Club’s staff went above and beyond to make this a memorable event, hosting a record 32 teams.
“It is an honor to have the support and partnership of the Bryson Family because it enables us to generate substantially more for the Town of Highlands Scholarship Fund,” said event chair Brian Stiehler. “This is such a unique program, and we know the community has been, and will continue to be, behind this 100%.”
“The Town is so fortunate to have Bryson Family’s support for this important annual event,” said Highlands Mayor Pat Taylor. “This year is particularly special because we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Scholarship Fund. We couldn’t ask for a better club to host the event than Cullasaja Club. Without the club, we wouldn’t have had that kind of success.”
The winning score was a 55 shot by the foursome Corey Page, Bailey Fisher, Chris Clay, and Nick Howell.
