Highlands Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying this man.
The Highlands Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a potential suspect who broke into the Car Spa car wash on Monday morning.
According to Highlands Police reports, an unidentified male used a pry bar to break into the payment kiosk at the Car Spa car wash in Highlands Plaza off NC 28 at approximately 5:40 a.m. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and caused significant damage to the kiosk.
Security video from the Car Spa shows the suspect, who was wearing a dark baseball cap and facemask, black sweatshirt with VANS logo on the back, light blue jeans, and light-colored tennis shoes.
“We are hoping that by releasing security pictures of the suspect that someone may be able to identify him based on the clothes he was wearing at the time,” Highlands Police Chief Andrea Holland said. “The suspect was wearing a mask, so the pictures do not show his face, but there are other ways someone may recognize the person in the photo.”
