Charles Jackson Hall
Charles Jackson Hall, 21, of Cashiers and Highlands passed away on Feb. 6 after a courageous battle with cancer over the past three years.
Jackson was born Feb. 10, 1998 in Greenville, SC, the son of Chuck and Jane (Simpson) Hall.
He attended Summit Charter School and graduated from Highlands High School in 2016, where he was a member of the basketball, cross country and tennis teams. He also attended Appalachian State University majoring in journalism until his cancer diagnosis in 2017.
He was a member of Cashiers United Methodist Church and attended Trillium Summer Chapel.
Jackson is survived by his parents Chuck and Jane Hall; his brother Harrison, and his sister-in-law Brittany Hall, of Sapphire. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Williams Jackson Simpson and Dr. Charles Luther Hall both of Greenwood, SC. He also leaves his grandmothers, Margret McAbee Simpson of Greenwood, SC and Bobbie Underwood Hall of Spartanburg, SC. He is also survived by his precious aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of dear friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Jackson’s life here on Earth as well as his new life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Highlands School Gym, 545 Pierson Drive, Highlands, NC.
The family will receive friends in the gym following the service.

Cancer never beat Jackson, he remained positive and filled with gratitude, joy and love. He was thankful every day for life and the love and support of his community, family and friends. His last days were spent conveying that love with hugs, smiles, stories and his ever-present sense of humor.
He was content and ready to move on to his new life in the presence of God. He will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
