Charles Thomas Palamara Jr.

Charles Thomas Palamara Jr. passed away on March 1 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Charles was born June 19, 1938, in White Plains, New York to Charles Thomas Palamara Sr. and Mary Nistico. He was predeceased by his wife Joan Ciborski Palamara.

At the age of 17, Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army to support his family. He later earned a Master’s degree in Criminology earning the rank of captain of the Miami Police Department where he worked more than 30 years.

He was also active in his Las Verdes’ HOA, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Charles also formed his own entertainment company “Song Stylings by Nice an Easy” where he sang and played the keyboard at restaurants and nursing homes.

As a summer resident of Highlands for over 45 years he participated in many town activities, particularly his beloved ‘Joy Group’ affiliated with the

Highlands United Methodist Church. Always giving of himself in thoughtful ways over the years, he has taught us what it is to be an outstanding citizen. He will be greatly missed.
