The Bascom will host a pottery show and sale Friday and Saturday, July 24-25.
During a time when so much has changed, one thing that hasn’t changed is The Bascom’s Dave Drake Studio Barn annual Summer Pottery Show. The pottery sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. each day on July 24-25 and will be held outside of the Dave Drake Studio Barn and on the terrace.
“Regardless of our new normal, this is always a popular event,” Martha Sutherland-Wright, a studio member said. “We will make this positive, so join us!”
The sale is a chance for the community to see work from talented open studio members and take home a beautiful piece of pottery.
“The Dave Drake Studio Barn will follow best shopping practices to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and participating artists in our 9th annual Summer Pottery Show “said Frank Vickery, Director of Ceramics. “We will be outside, everyone will be wearing masks, and we will take a break to clean. But, what won’t change is all the great work for sale. This is a chance to buy gifts for others, something for yourself, or as a souvenir of a visit to the plateau.”
