The Highlands Food and Wine Festival will require documentation of the COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test to attend.

For patrons who are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours (three days,) prior to attendance at any Highlands Food and Wine Festival event.

“The health and safety of our patrons, staff and vendors remains our top priorities,” Casey Reid, Highlands Food and Wine Festival Director, said. “We will continue to monitor best practices and guidelines established by state and local health authorities in order to be able to safely bring the community together for our 5th Annual Highlands Food and Wine Festival.”

Though it is a large event for the area, Reid said the event is still comparably small.

“In comparison to other notable festivals, Highlands Food & Wine Festival remains relatively small in size,” Reid said. “We feel like the intimacy of the event is actually part of the appeal. Everyone can enjoy the world-class chefs, wine makers, sommeliers, brewers, and musicians on a more personal level. Probably most of all, the location of the festival – in beautiful Highlands – is the biggest draw; to bring people together to celebrate life in such an idyllic setting is magical. Ultimately, the goal of Highlands Festivals is to promote Highlands as a year-round destination, and we feel fortunate that Highlands Food & Wine can help with that mission.”

As imagined, with the COVID pandemic, people are ready to get out and celebrate, which is why all of the tickets for the festival were sold out completely during the first weekend.

“It was truly humbling to see the tremendous response to tickets this year,” Reid said. “The past year and a half has taught us never to take anything for granted. We are grateful for enthusiastic fans and the support of the Town, chefs, sponsors and artists who make Highlands Food & Wine one of the most sought-after tickets in the South. We are tremendously excited for the stellar musical talent that plan to join us in November. We have also secured some great food and beverage partners and look forward to announcing the full roster in the coming weeks.”

The festival is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 11 – Sunday, Nov. 14.
