The Cashiers Highlands Humane Society is currently holding their sixth annual “Stuff the Stockings” drive to benefit the more than 120 animals in the shelter’s care and provide them with personalized stockings full of toys and goodies on Christmas morning.

The Mountain Theatre Company is preparing to open their final show of the 2022 season, “Home for the Holidays: A Christmas Tradition” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 at the Highlands Playhouse.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the stars of the show during the Highlands Christmas Parade, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
