Richard Betz has just published his first book of poetry, Bells in the Night, at the age of 72.
The book has been praised by local author and retired Professor of English and Comparative Literature Ran Shaffner, and by Thomas Rain Crowe, author of Zoro’s Field: My Life in the Appalachian Woods.

On July 31, The Wobblers, an eight-piece band out of Clemson will take the stage at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park.

The Wobblers, a Clemson based eight-piece band, is set to take the stage at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park on July 31, for the Saturdays on Pine concert series.
The band got its start as a four-piece band when Evan Dehner and the bands drummer started playing together.

Gettin' the band back together

After several years of being separated, Highlands School teacher Brian Aulisio brought his band back together for two performances at The High Dive last week.
The band, Rocksteady@8, had their first show in Tampa, Fla., in 1998.
“We used to play in Tampa in the early 2000’s,” Aulisio said.
