HBS students give year-end presentations

The Highlands Biological Station hosted another year of the UNC-Chapel Hill Institute for the Environment. This year, 12 students stayed at the biological station, conducting research on several issues on the Plateau.

Homecoming heartbreak

Though they were close games for both Highlands School varsity basketball teams, both teams fell to Cherokee High School on Friday nights Homecoming matchup.

Macon-Jackson boundary line dispute resolved

After eight years, Jackson County has an answer to a boundary dispute with Macon County. The state has rendered a final decision on where the line lies and how much tax revenue each county stands to gain or lose.
