The annual Antique Show came back to Cashiers for its 46th year over the weekend, from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, Aug. 11 at The Village Green.

The annual Cashiers Cares golf tournament, which will benefit 10 local charities in the area, is coming back to for its third year on Monday, Sept. 16 at the Trillium Links golf course at 10:30 a.m.

Two graduates from the Highlands Cashiers Hospital’s CNA training program – Reese Schmitt and Jackson Dunn – are now headed off to Galen Nursing College, both motivated by personal reasons from their pasts.

The Town of Highlands Planning Board voted unanimously at their meeting Monday, July 22 to turn down a proposed new rule to amortize short-term vacation rentals in some zoning districts in town. The proposed new rule was approved by the Town Board at their last meeting.
