William Way III, 87, of Wellington, Colorado, passed away on April 24 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Alley C. Way, his parents, and his brother, Peter Way, of Scottsville, VA.

Blanche Smith Morgan, 78, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, April 27.  She was born on November 5, 1942 in Franklin, to John Doyle and Dove (McCoy) Smith. A private service will be held and burial will follow at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Diana Marie Schardt Bernard

Diana Marie Schardt Bernard, 62, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, April 27.  She was born Jan. 8, 1959 in San Francisco, CA to Barbara Janicki Schardt and the late Dick Schardt. No services are planned at this time. Bryant-Grant Funeral Home is serving the Bernard family.

After experiencing declining health for a number of years, Mary Ann Keith Massey died peaceably on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Canterbury Court where she and her husband, Knox, had been living for four years. The artist, philanthropist, devoted wife and mother was 83.

Ray “Buddy” Allen Cunningham, 73, of Franklin passed away Monday, April 19, 2021. Ray was born in Macon County, Aug. 26, 1947 to the late Ralph W. Cunningham and Maggie Elliot Cunningham. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.

Frances C. Young, 94, of Fort Lauderdale passed away April 5, 2021. Mrs. Young was born on Nov. 13, 1926 in Key West, Florida to Laurence and Adelaide Crabtree.  Mrs. Young was proud of her “Conch” heritage and grew up with a love of the water.

John Hudson Robinson Jr., 90, recently of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on March 14, 2021.     John was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and raised in Charleston, West Virginia where he attended Virginia Episcopal School.
