Glass festival returns to Sylva

Just American Made (JAM) Glass Festival returns this autumn to the heart of downtown Sylva. A fiery blend of traditional music, locally handcrafted glass art, and community celebration.  Hosted by JAM Glass Gallery, the bi-annual event is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Shop With A Cop Rotary Bingo

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Shop With a Cop Rotary Bingo. SWAC Rotary Bingo will be on Thursday, Nov. 6, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Community Building next to the Ballfield in Highlands. This is a guaranteed night of fun for a wonderful cause.

Comedic Thriller

Highlands Cashiers Players will present Deathtrap, a comedic thriller by Ira Levin, Oct. 30, Nov. 1 and 2 and Nov. 6-9 at the Martin Lipscomb Theater in the Highlands Performing Arts Center.  The play is directed by Michael Lanzilotta.

REVVED UP FOR CHARITY

The 2025 Highlands Motoring Festival® was very successful by every measure including financial support to local human needs charities. To commemorate this accomplishment, there was a presentation of the funds to three local human needs charities at Kelsey Hutchinson Park on Oct. 21.
