Walter “John” Watson

Walter “John” Watson, 79, of Highlands, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019. Born in New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of the late Walter LeRoy Watson and Mary M. McKinney Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Watson. John was a US Navy Veteran.

Marjorie Tibitha Webb

Marjorie Tibitha Webb, 82, of Highlands, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019.  She was born February 6, 1937 in Macon County, to the late Sarge and Effie Henry Gibson. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Horsecove Cemetery, with Rev. Randy Reed officiating.

Gavin James Bryan Johnson

Gavin James Bryan Johnson, 21, of Franklin, passed away Nov. 20, 2019. He was born in Jackson County, July 24, 1998 to Samuel Johnson and Michelle Provencal. A Celebration of Life for Gavin will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 7, 2019 at Lake Glenville Public Beach.

Elden Eugene Adameit

Elden Eugene Adameit, 96, died Wednesday Nov. 27, 2019. Born in Raritan Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Aimee and William Adameit. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eleanor Grace Blankenship, daughter of James Willard Keener and Grace Keener, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019. She was born on September 19, 1938 in Highlands. She attended the public schools of Macon County and was a graduate of Southwest Community College. She was married to Harold B.

Marian Elizabeth Stone Marks passed away peacefully at the age of 89, in her home in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Nov. 19, 2019. She was born in Miami, Florida on April 20,1930 to Dr. Veil Stone and Mary Jungermann Stone.

Phillip Raymond Elder, 72, of Highlands, passed away Monday, Oct. 14. Phil was born May 16, 1947 in Bradford County, Florida, to the late Emmett O. Elder and Cbell Stroud Elder. Services for Phil were held Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Highlands.
