Geraldine Tritt, 73, of Highlands, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. Born and raised in Macon County, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gladys Dalton Tritt.

Karol Linda Kirchman Anderson

Karol Linda Kirchman Anderson, of Highlands, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Karol was predeceased by her husband Hugh Alexander Anderson in 2013. Funeral services are planned for the spring of 2021.

Louise Guffey Vanhook

Louise Guffey Vanhook, 90, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020. Louise was born Sept. 30, 1929 in Macon County to the late Norman Guffey and Dlena Mashburn Guffey.  A graveside service was held Sunday, Aug. 16, in the Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev.

Arthur William Grabe

On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Arthur William Grabe, our beloved “Auggie,” formerly of Highlands, passed to eternal rest with his family at his side. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Art was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. His four years of service included 10 months in Vietnam.

Eloise Buchanan Crane

Eloise Buchanan Crane, 86, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020. Mrs. Crane was born March 20, 1934 in Jackson, County. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Highlands Assembly of God with the Rev. Baker Crane officiating.

John Eugene Rymer

John Eugene Rymer, of Highlands, passed away on July 27, 2020.  He was born May 21, 1928 in Fairy Valley, Georgia to Albert Taylor and Francis McCamy Rymer, the sixth of seven children.  His father died when he was two, and his family moved to Old Fort, Tennessee.

Audrey Lee Owens

Audrey Lee Owens (84) of Clayton, GA died at home on July 19, 2020 after a long illness. Her family was by her side. She was born March 13, 1936 in Arlington, VA and was the oldest of three children of Ada Gorham. She graduated from Falls Church High School in 1956.

Wicke Oliver Chambers

There will be a July 28 birthday memorial for Wicke Oliver Chambers, a former board member of Hudson Library and resident of Cullasaja Club. Wicke Chambers, a lifetime resident of Atlanta, died Nov. 22, 2019. Wicke is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Rufus, their children Rufus Jr.

Wilfred Joseph Daily Jr.

Dr. Wilfred Joseph Daily, Jr., a loving husband to Yvonne Harvey Daily for 57 years, passed away at age 84 on Friday, July 10, 2020.  Bill was born January 25, 1936 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to Wilfred and Olive Means Daily.
